NOBENTO, or
Late Edo era outdoor food box, used primarily during the season of cherry-blossom viewing. Boxes come apart and a tray is tucked under the upper lid. On the side one finds two pewter bottles that were for sake.
Lacquer and makie decorations on all sides.
Condition: very good.
