SWORD; long nagasa of 74cm, signed, papered
Very nice example of a long sword, perfect for either the colector or the practitioner of iai-do.
- Signed: Bishu-ju Y?-saku
- Dated: Meiji 2-nen, ni-gatsu (1870, february)
- Nagasa: 74cm
- Sori: 1.9cm
- Ni kizu, cracks, rust. Ni ji-nie throughout. Recent polish (2001?).
Hamon, gunome. Almost no rust present on the tang.
- Fittings: Saya lacquered a darkish maroon (good cond.), tsuba, very classic, of the same period as the sword, maybe slightly earlier (late Edo), matching fuchi-kachira. Tsuka is in very good condition, w/ no traces of having served. Menuki gold leafted shakudo (camelia flowers).
- Comes with a silk obi-fukuro and hozon-level origami.
